As Lao Tzu once said, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”. For me the first step is get my travel checklist ready and at Dailytips4u.com I believe everyone needs one handy.

Did you forget again to pack something important for a trip? Then believe me you are not alone. This is as frustrating as having to wake up to your boss’s call on a weekend.

Whether it’s a family trip or last-minute plan with friends, having a handy checklist is no less than a relaxing day on a beach.

We have hand curated plenty of tips to help to pack well every time.

  1. flipflops: We never forget to pack our fancy footwears but this one simple looking yet very important item gets usually missed
  2. Bottle opener: The Next time you wanna get really drunk with your friends on a trip to Goa, , here is one tip, Just carry a bottle opener. Believe me , your teeth will be thank full to us.
  3. Handkerchief/Tissue paper: Did you wash your hands ? Yes, I just did . Darn! Why do I always forget to carry this small piece of cloth. From now on, just bookmark our checklist tips and no more wet hands.
  4. Trash bags – your stomach needs to be fed but not roads. Here is another tip if you want you a carry an extra cover to keep soiled clothes to keep them separated with good ones.
  5. Old news paper – It’s always a good idea to carry old news papers
  6. Toiletries like paper soap – This might sound old fashioned but here is tip for bus/train/car travel, this is your savior.
  7. Sunglasses/Cap – Something that saves you from scorching sun and also to add swag to your Instagram photo.
  8. Cash – Like you, we are in support of digital payment but at tourist places cash is still the king.

Carrying cash is a good idea for tips, local vendors, parking charges, emergencies etc.

  1. Print of vaccination certificate – a hard copy saves your precious vacation time .
  2. ID (not pan card) – Next time you flash your pan card with lightening speed at an hotel for an address proof , here is one bitter tip , Pan card is a id card but not a proof of address.

  6. Power bank, never keep in checking bag in flight – want to capture mesmerizing sunset at Kanyakumari – the tip of Mother India or a moment together with your family/friends , getting a  low battery notification is the last thing you would expect. By the way f travelling by air never carry your power bank in check-in bag .

 

  1. Books/games – “Books are indeed a person’s best companion no matter wherever you are. Here is little tip when travelling with you little ones carry with you easy games such as cards, Uno, board games like snakes and ladders .

 

  1. Swim wear – who would not want to take a dip in a pool on a lazy sunny holiday but rules to wear swimsuit may put damper on your plans.
  2. Hand towel – As a hindi proverb goes “you can not use a sword where you need a needle”
  3. Medication – who would want to fall sick on a vacation, carry paracetamol, pain reliever , first aid. Did we miss something ? Yes, a motion sickness medicine. Thank us later for this tip.
  4. Pollution certification: We always carry RC, DL, Insurance but a pollution certification is a mandatory document and can save you from a hefty fine.
  5. Weighing machine: Don’t be surprised? This small equipment can save you from the mess you would run into at the airport for carrying little extra kgs.
  6. Eye mask: Looking forward to have a sound sleep in bus journey. Then carry a eye mask.
  7. Condoms: Enjoy your vacations
  8. Candies/chocolate/snacks/gum: Driving makes you sleepy? Then here is a tip for you. Carry these munchies and enjoy your drive.
  9. Carry bag for shopping: Go Green. Carry your own Jute/paper bag for your shopping spree.
  10. Blanket for train: Indian Railways had stopped offering bedrolls and blankets in pandemic. So carry yours or here is one tip. This is the list of railway stations where you can purchase disposable one.
